Inclusion of all people in the ever-turning cycle of producing and consumping, so we can all live and survive, is the real core of economic policy. Not endless linear growth with no organic end.
Economy is about laying the material basis for life, it is not an end in itself.
The true purpose of all economy is so we can Celebrate Life - not to wage wars, destroy our planet and exclude others.
